Women cyclists who enjoy a more casual, mountain bike-inspired style will celebrate the new Versatile Off-Road Collection from Machines for Freedom. This offering is new territory for the women’s cycling brand known for its playful road-centric kits and inclusive sizing.

The technical capsule collection features performance pieces with looser silhouettes that easily transition from a day of adventure riding to happy hour with friends. I could see the Key Short and Tech Tee becoming a staple for gravel rides, local trails, and urban exploration.

Off-road riding (both gravel rides and mountain biking) are exploding in popularity. Part of the appeal (besides it’s just dang fun) is the more casual, comfort-driven mindset of adventuring outside. Machine’s Versatile Off-Road collection nails this sentiment with product that’s high-performing and stylish enough to be practical for the modern female cyclist.

Machines for Freedom Versatile Off-Road Collection

The Key Short: An over-short available in two lengths (5.5” and 11”) constructed with stretch, moisture-wicking fabric with five utilitarian pockets. Yep, pockets on women’s shorts made for carrying things. Sized to hold a phone and with a zip. Revolutionary.

Tech Tees: Available in long sleeves and short sleeves, tops feature a boxy fit with drapey arms (no cuffs), for extended mobility and reach on the bicycle. Constructed of sustainable MicroModal, a fabric made from fibers of beech trees, a fast-growing and renewable resource.

The Machines Crew: A technical take on the cotton sweatshirt with the benefits of moisture-wicking fabric and a utilitarian back pocket.
